She frequently appeared on Bing Crosby’s Merrie Olde Christmas specials, and was the host of The Kathryn Crosby Show, a half-hour talk show produced in San Francisco. After the passing of her husband in 1977, Kathryn transitioned to stage performances, including a notable appearance in the 1996 Broadway revival of State Fair.

Outside of her acting career, Kathryn Crosby was deeply involved in charitable activities. She was notably the longtime host of the Crosby National Golf Tournament held in Bermuda Run, North Carolina, raising funds for various causes.

Born in 1933, Crosby graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where she won a beauty pageant that earned her a screen test with William Holden. She began her Hollywood career in 1953, all while writing a column about Hollywood for her local newspaper. It was during her journalistic endeavors on the set of White Christmas that she met her future husband, Bing Crosby. They were married in 1957 and had three children together: Harry, Mary, and Nathaniel.

In 1963, after establishing herself in Hollywood, Kathryn pursued a second career, becoming a registered nurse and teacher, further showcasing her versatility and dedication to public service.

Kathryn Crosby is survived by her three children, Harry, Mary, and Nathaniel, as well as several grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have not been announced at this time.
