Neil Lennon, a former Northern Ireland player, has lost his position with Rapid Bucharest.

The former Celtic manager was under pressure after going winless in six games, and he has now departed the Romanian club.
Marius Sumudica has been confirmed as the club’s next coach.
“Today, Neil Lennon and FC Rapid decided to go their separate ways,” the organization informed me.
“We thank Neil and his staff for their commitment and professionalism, and we wish them continued success.”

In May 2024, the Lurgan man was named Rapid Bucharest’s head coach.
Rapid finished sixth in Romania’s premier division, and Lennon signed a two-year contract until the summer of 2026.
He was close to becoming Republic of Ireland manager and returned to coaching after an 18-month break.
The 53-year-old led Omonia Nicosia to Cypriot Cup victory in 2022, followed by a Europa League group stage appearance.
